Miami Palmer Trinity girls’ golfer Danielle Hernandez is the Miami Herald’s High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.
Hernandez won the girls’ division of the Palm League Golf Championship at Biltmore Golf Course (par 71) in Coral Gables. She shot 3-under par 68. The next day she scored a hole-in-one on Hole No. 7 at the Granada Golf Course also in Coral Gables.
Miami Gulliver Prep volleyball player Brianna Napoles, Miami Belen Jesuit bowler Enrique Groso, Miami Ransom Everglades volleyball player Julia Lewkowitz, Miami Coral Reef volleyball player Daniela Dobal, Plantation American Heritage boys’ golfer Sohan Patel, Fort Lauderdale Pine Crest boys’ golfer Alexander Weinberg, Miami Ferguson girls’ bowler Emma Jaramillo, boys’ bowler Lexander Perdomo, Miami Coral Park boys’ bowler Tyler Salinetro, and Miami Dr. Krop boys’ bowler Duron Blash were the other nominees.
