Teams set for Jr. Orange Bowl Basketball Classic. LaSalle athletes sign scholarships and more
The 35th annual Junior Orange Bowl Basketball Classic is Dec. 28-30 with the girls’ championship game at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 30, followed by the boys’ championship game.
The three-day tournament at Westminster Christian School (6855 SW 152nd St., Palmetto Bay 33157) features eight boys’ teams, including three from out-of-state, and eight girls’ teams with three also out-of-state. There are brackets for boys’ teams and girls’ teams for more games to establish third through eighth place, too.
GIRLS: Opening Round: Dec. 28: 10 a.m.: James River-Virginia vs. Palmer Trinity. 2:30 p.m.: Lakota West-Ohio vs. Miami Senior. 4:30 p.m.: Nova vs. Doral. 6 p.m.: Purcell Marian-Ohio vs.Norland.
