Braddock swimming swept the team titles in boys’ and girls’ divisions at the GMAC Championships at Miami Dade College - North Campus.

MAST did well, placing second in each team division.

Cardinal Gibbons defeated St. Thomas Aquinas in girls’ golf at Fort Lauderdale Country Club. Sofia Ehret took medalist honors with a 1-over par to lead the Chiefs. Teammate Fiona Manelas followed at 3-over par.

In boys’ golf, medalist Jesse Hellring and Hugo Stenstrom led Ransom Everglades over Gulliver Prep and Westminster Chritsian at Biltmore Golf Course.

Football

Archbishop Carroll 35, Coral Shores 26: Alejandro Isaza had 123 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns for the visiting Bulldogs. Ryan Castro, Sylus Villanuva and Ryan Gonzalez also had rushing touchdowns. Carroll’s offense line (Josh Velez, Jake Santovenia, Jacob Acosta, Jaden Ledo, Gio Reyes, Carlos Millan, Roger Soca and Gio Riadigos) paved the way for 339 yards and 5 touchdowns, all on the ground. Defensive lineman Ivan Quesada continues to pace the Carroll defense. He recorded 7 tackles (3 tackles for loss). AC (6-1).

Krop 44, Hollywood Hills 6: Yvondre Jaccis led the Lightning’s offense with six scoring drives. He threw two touchdown passes and ran for another. Senior Keymari Robiou had 13 carries for 105 yds and a touchdown, and senior Ricky Joseph had 8 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown. Joseph also intercepted a pass, his fifth of the season. Senior captain Darence Piere Louis sparked the Lightning in the third quarter with a 30-yard touchdown. He finished with 10 carries for 89 yards.

Krop (4-3) dominated on the ground, rushing for 292 yards. The Lightning totaled 486 yards, thanks to an impressive offensive line that amassed 12 pancake blocks. The OL was led by senior center Ashton Augustin, junior captain Jaelen Smith and Damion Johnson.

The defense was led by two senior captains. Kalel Pascal finished with 8 tackles, a touchdown on an interception return, 3 pass breakups and an 85-yard kick return. Caleb Turner-Allen added three more sacks, giving him 20 sacks on the season and 31 tackles for loss. He also forced a fumble and recovered one. Khamari Griffin, a 6-foot-4, 235-pound senior defensive end, had two sacks and four tackles for loss. LB Qwincy Bonne-Anne recorded nine tackles (two for losses) and a fumble recovery. Freshman Peyton Lamerre added 8 tackles with one TFL. Sophomore kicker Pablo Gomez was 6--of-6 on extra points and 1-of-2 on field goals, converting a 35-yarder.

Krop will face Miami Palmetto (6-1) at Tropical Park on Thursday.
