Basketball

Speaking of Chaminade-Madonna, Teddy Lyons is its new varsity boys’ basketball coach for the 2023-24 school year.

Lyons arrives after four years at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland where he coached from 2019-23.

C-M Athletic Director Matt Bishop said: “Coach Lyons’s record of player development and mentoring student-athletes makes him the right fit for our school and boys’ basketball program. We’re excited to see him work with our young men this season and beyond. We trust he will continue to help our basketball program grow from day one.”

Lyons noted: “I want to bring a “WE” mentality to the program and will show an unwavering dedication to forge a path of consistent competitiveness both on and off the court. I have a saying, ‘the difference is in the work,’ and that will show within our program over time.”
