The Belen Jesuit bowling team continues its undefeated season with a win against Gulliver Prep (2,176 - 1,785).
Belen was led by juniors Enrique Groso (203) and Brian Iglesias (181). Also helping the Wolverines were senior Frank Sanchez and sophomores William Allen, Alexander Lowell, Michael Pena, and Ryan Solares.
Coached by Danny Delgado, Belen (4-0) has wins over Keys Gate, Colonial Christian, Hialeah, and most recently Gulliver Prep.

Cross-country
Columbus and Lourdes secured the championships of the King of the Hill cross-country Invitational at Larry and Penny Thompson Park in Miami. The Explorers, led by fourth-place individual finisher Alejandro Romagosa, scored 38 to finish well ahead of runner-up Westminster Academy on the boys’ side.
Palmer Trinity’s Henry Stark continued his strong season by winning the individual title in 15 minutes 52.02 seconds, 30-plus seconds faster than runner-up Jonathan Pena of Westminster Academy.
With four runners in the top seven, Lourdes scored 28 points and finished comfortably ahead of Gulliver Prep, which scored 112 in the girls’ field. Freshman Alessandra Perez (19:53.31) led the Bobcats and triumphed again on the same course she won the FNU Invitational the prior week. Sabrina Martinez of Riviera Prep was second in 20:11.80.

The American Heritage (Plantation) boys’ golf team is having another solid season, already improving to 8-1, after defeating Cardinal Gibbons. The Patriots have a long-standing tradition of high school golf excellence, led by nationally-recognized coach Brandt Moser and his outstanding coaching cohorts.
