The Miami Herald South Florida boys’ and girls’ basketball rankings (Jan. 23)

The fourth installment of the Miami Herald’s South Florida Top 10 rankings shows some movement in both polls after some impressive wins by rising contenders Palmetto, South Dade on the boys’ side and Somerset Silver Palms and Somerset Prep on the girls’ side. Expect things to heat up with the GMAC and BCAA Big 8 tournaments beginning this week.

Here’s where the rest of the state’s best rank through Saturday’s games:
