The Cooper City girls’ lacrosse team defeated West Boca Raton 11-8.
Cameron Sen and Helen Tremble led the Cowboys. Sen had 3 goals and 2 draw controls, and Tremble had 6 goals and 5 draw controls.
Alsu Raymanova added 1 goal, 3 draw controls and 6 ground balls. Kaylin Bly had 1 draw control and 4 ground balls, and Lexi Crespo had 1 goal and 4 ground balls. Alyssa Soler totaled 3 ground balls and Taylor Moris 2 ground balls.
Coached by Bill O’Connell, the battling Cowboys are 3-6. Four of those losses are by one goal.

In a battle of two winning teams, the McArthur baseball team handed South Plantation its first defeat. The Mustangs erupted for eight runs in the second en route to a 15-4 victory. McArthur improved to 4-2, while the Paladins are 5-1.
