American Heritage football star Jaeden Kinlock excelling again in wrestling. Plus more results

Miami Southridge placed third during the Region 4-2A wrestling tournament at Bayside High School in Palm Bay. That was tops of all teams from Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

The Spartans qualified five for state, including three region champs.

St. Thomas Aquinas with its Band of Brothers was the best Broward finisher in fifth. Four Raiders are headed to state.

American Heritage in Plantation, coached by David Wisdom, was eighth overall and second best in Broward.

Jaeden Kinlock, a 2021 Miami Herald All-Broward first team football player and first team wrestler, is the lone Patriots wrestler to qualify for state, after placing second at 220. Alexander Wisdom (132), Armando Wisdom (138) and Freddie King (285) lost in their blood round matches to some really tough competitors.

North Miami took seventh with a region champ and four going to state.
