Belen Jesuit cross-country continues to dominate. Florida Christian volleyball wins again

The Belen Jesuit boys’ cross-country team is the King of the Hill after winning the King of the Hill Invitational at Tropical Park in Miami.

Belen bested a field of 22 high school teams from Miami Dade, Broward and Monroe counties.

The Wolverines placed seven runners in the Top 10. Each team’s Top 5 finishers figure in the team scoring.

Belen, which is ranked No.2 in the Southeast by Dyestat and No.1 in Florida by Milesplit, totaled a spectacular 16 points.

Columbus was the runner-up with 43 points, and Palmer Trinity was third with 152 points.

Belen senior Adam Magoulas and sophomore Joshua Ruiz, who completed the 5K course in 15 minutes and 40 seconds and 16:01, respectively, led the Wolverines. Magoulas finished first and Ruiz second of 198 runners.

Belen will run in the Spanish River Invitational on Saturday in Boca Raton.
