These four Miami-Dade flag football teams qualified for the Super Bowl Experience
It might not be flag football season yet, but there was a lot on the line last week for eight South Florida teams when the Miami Dolphins hosted their Girls’ Flag Football Combine at its Nova Southeastern Training Facility.
That’s because the reward for the top four teams that eventually emerged from the group, Krop, Central, Edison and Miami High, was a ticket to compete in a championship competition at the Super Bowl Experience.
Presented by Lowe’s the four teams, as part of the Super Bowl LIV buildup, will square off Jan. 31 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Mourning, Southridge, Monsignor Pace and Boca Raton were the other four teams competing.
“This elite experience allows the next generation of athletes to showcase both their individual and team talents in a fun and competitive environment, which truly aligns with our Junior Dolphins mission to provide avenues of skill development for our South Florida teams” said Miami Dolphins Director of Youth Programs and Camps RaShauna Hamilton. “We’re looking forward to seeing the top four teams continue on to championship play at the Super Bowl Experience later this month.”
