Hialeah-Miami Lakes got its first victory of the season in decisive fashion by shutting out host Hialeah Gardens 26-0 on Friday afternoon.

Both teams are now 1-3.

The Trojans were led offensively by quaterback Tony Caraballo who had a game high 108-yards passing and ran for 79 more.

“It felt great to get the first victory of the season,” said Carbello, “we need keep preparing and practicing the way we did this week.”

HML got off to a quick start as Carbello had an impressive touchdown pass to start the game with a 41-yard pass to Dwight Jackson.

Defensively, the Trojans had three sacks and a pair of stops in the red zone to keep Gardens off the board.

Senior Anthony Gentile was Hialeah Gardens’ rushing leader with 46 yards after returning following a second-quarter ankle injury.
