The Archbishop McCarthy girls’ golf team won the Lady Cougar Invitational on Wednesday at Quail Creek CC in Naples.

The Mavericks shot 303 with three golfers (Christen Simons, Georgette Garcia, Brooke Benedetto) in the Top 5 on the Par 72 course. Jillian Bourdage won medalist honors with a 2-under 70 for runner-up American Heritage.

The Belen and Ferguson cross-country teams won the Youth Fair championships. The Wolverines took home the boys’ title led by individual runner-up Joshua Collins. Ferguson secured the girls’ championship led by Jazmyn Martinez’ third-place finish.

Kai Henry, Northwestern, football: Henry ran for 146 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries to lead the Bulls to a 19-14 win over Columbus.

Trey Flowers, Palmetto, football: Flowers scored three touchdowns in a 36-0 win over Coral Reef.
