AEW, WWE take over Florida in December. Interviews with May and Michin, who have Sunshine State ties

Get ready Florida.

WWE is bringing its talents to South Beach, and AEW will do the same in Orlando.

WWE’s holiday tour continues Sunday, Dec. 29 at the Kaseya Center, home of three-time NBA champion Miami Heat. The night before on Saturday, Dec. 28, WWE is at the Kia Center in Orlando, home to the NBA Orlando Magic.

AEW will be running that same night (Saturday, Dec. 28) across town in Orlando, too, with its “Worlds End” PPV at the Addition Financial Arena on the college campus of UFC (University of Central Florida).

WWE is also in Jacksonville (AEW’s home base) and Tampa; so plenty of pro wrestling in the Sunshine State to end the year.

Here is my video interview with persevering WWE SmackDown Superstar Michin, a former Central Florida resident, who worked the Florida indies. She will be in Florida, including Miami for WWE’s Holiday Tour.

Here is my video interview with talented AEW Champ Mariah May, a current Central Florida resident. She will be in Orlando for “AEW Worlds End” PPV.

Florida is a hotbed for pro wrestling companies.

AEW, run by Tony Khan, is based in Jacksonville, which resides, too, the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars, also owned by the Khan family.

WWE, run by Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Nick Khan (no relation to Tony) under the TKO Group banner, houses its WWE Performance Center (home to WWE NXT) to train aspiring pro wrestlers/sports entertainers in Orlando. “NXT” is 8 p.m. Tuesdays on The CW from that WWE Performance Center.

WWE brings its “SmackDown” TV show via USA Network on Friday, Dec. 27 to Amalie Arena in Tampa.
