Miami’s Jim Larrañaga and Florida’s Billy Donovan head the list of speakers who will participate in a basketball coaches’ clinic Friday and Saturday at Mater Academy in Hialeah Gardens.

The event is open to basketball coaches of all levels, clinic organizer Shakey Rodriguez said.

In addition to Donovan, who has led the Gators to two national championships, and Larrañaga, other coaches scheduled to speak at the event include FIU’s Anthony Evans, South Carolina’s Frank Martin and Alabama’s Anthony Grant. Miami women’s basketball coach Katie Meier and Jose Fernandez, who guides the women’s program at South Florida, also are among the speakers.

NBA referee John Goble will provide insights on officiating, and former Miami Heat assistant Tony Fiorentino will talk about coaching at the professional level.

The clinic will run from 6 to 10 Friday night and noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $75. For information, call 305-310-4582.
