The Barry men’s soccer team made it to the final four. This is how the Bucs made it

The 20th-ranked Barry University Buccaneers take on the 11th-ranked Fort Hays State Tigers on Thursday at Pittsburgh’s Highmark Stadium in the NCAA Division II semifinals as part of the D-II Fall Sports Festival. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.

Barry made the NCAA tournament for a 10th time this season and has made it to the national semifinal three times with the last coming in 2000.

Barry made its way to the national semifinal by upsetting No. 10 Spring Hill in the south region semifinal, winning 4-1. The Bucs were led by goals from Lorenzo Cerrai, Stephen Kosmala, Flavio Colasanti and Francisco Aguirre.

Barry then beat No. 24 Lynn University 4-2 in the South Region Championship. In the Quarterfinal against No. 8 Lander, the Buccaneers held off the Bearcats 2-1, as Lucas Russo and Luca de Biase scored the goals.
