Will Muschamp wants to coach next year, but he hasn’t received any calls yet regarding prospective openings this offseason. “No one has reached out to me,” he said.

Muschamp, fired for the first time in his career on Nov. 16, has already been rumored for potential defensive coordinator openings at Auburn, South Carolina, Texas A&M and even No. 1 Florida State — defenses that all rank between No.55 and 104 nationally.

Muschamp was the defensive coordinator with Auburn in 2006-07, and is close friends with South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier and FSU coach Jimbo Fisher.

“I’m looking forward to that next step, but what that will be I have no idea,” he said. “I haven’t put any thought into that as far as where, what, when and how.”
