Freshman quarterback Treon Harris has sparked Florida’s toothless offense, and the former Miami Booker T. Washington star was named the SEC’s co-freshman of the week following his performance in a 34-10 win at Vanderbilt.
The dual-threat talent was 13 of 21 for 215 yards and two rushing touchdowns, generating a balanced attack while avoiding costly mistakes.
“Treon hasn’t arrived by any stretch of the imagination,” offensive coordinator Kurt Roper said. “But he does have a calm demeanor, he does a good job with his vision and buying time and moving in the pocket and just making plays.”
The Gators are 2-0 with Harris at the helm and the offense has synergy for the first time in years.

Harris completed a pair of deep shots (48-yarder, 60-yarder) and was poised while facing pressure.
“He played extremely well, managed our offense extremely well,” coach Will Muschamp said.
