Florida Gators to face LSU in prime time

The Gators’ dramatic rise in the polls has earned them a prime-time showdown in Death Valley on Oct. 17. No. 11 UF will meet No. 7 LSU in Tiger Stadium at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

Both teams could be undefeated before the potential brawl on the bayou, as LSU (4-0, 2-0 SEC) visits a listless South Carolina team this weekend, and Florida (5-0, 3-0 SEC) is a five-point favorite at Missouri.

The last time UF took on LSU under the lights was in 2009 — a 13-3 win by the top-ranked Gators.

▪ Wideout Ahmad Fulwood (arm) is non-contact this week, but the junior is expected to play against Mizzou. Tight end C’yontai Lewis (hand) and linebacker Jeremi Powell (ankle) are questionable and their status will be updated Wednesday.
