Florida Gators’ football game against Missouri has 7 p.m. start
Florida will take on Missouri at 7 p.m. on Oct.18, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday.
The prime-time Eastern Division showdown will air on ESPN or ESPN2. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium will play host to its fourth night game this season, after the Gators played just a single home game under the lights in 2013.
Florida (3-1, 2-1 SEC) and LSU (4-2, 0-2 SEC) meet in The Swamp this Saturday night at 7:30 on the SEC Network.
DB EARNS HONOR
Freshman cornerback Jalen Tabor was named the 247Sports National True Freshman of the Week following his breakout performance in UF’s 10-9 win over Tennessee.
The five-star freshman — in his first-career start — ignited UF’s comeback, strip-sacking Volunteers quarterback Justin Worley in the closing seconds of the third quarter. Tabor recovered the fumble, too, and Florida scored the game’s lone touchdown on its ensuing possession.
He finished the afternoon with two pass breakups, four tackles and the game-changing play.
