Nude man on shark is not UF coach Jim McElwain, report says
That photo of the naked man lying on a shark is a former New York City police officer, a sports anchor for WKMG-TV in Orlando — David Pingalore — told Mike Bianchi of the Orlando Sentinel on Friday during Bianchi’s “Open Mike’’ radio show on 96.9 The Game.
The so-called police officer looks strikingly similar to University of Florida football coach Jim McElwain, and lit the Internet on fire when Deadspin.com posted the photograph.

“This guy lives in upstate New York,’’ Pingalore said to Bianchi on Friday, reported the Orlando Sentinel. “That photo was taken two years ago off the shores of Long Island — not in Florida...”
