Orange Bowl

The Florida Gators don’t come to Miami often. Here’s how to snag Orange Bowl tickets.

It’s not often the Florida Gators roll into South Florida for a football game.

But on Dec. 30, UF will be center stage at Hard Rock Stadium to play Virginia in this year’s Orange Bowl.

It’s only the fourth time the Gators are playing in the Orange Bowl and first time since 2002.

They did, however, play in the BCS National Championship game at the Orange Bowl venue in 2009, and have made other trips to Miami this century, where they played the Hurricanes in 2003 and 2013.

So for UF fans in South Florida looking to see the Gators in person without having to drive to Gainesville, this year’s game gives that chance.

Consequently, tickets are in high demand.

General public tickets went on sale Tuesday morning through the Florida Gators portal on Ticketmaster, and there’s only a few sections still listed as available with tickets running for a minimum of $110 apiece.

There are more tickets available through Ticketmaster’s regular site, with the cheapest coming at $115 per ticket.

There’s also plenty of tickets available on Vivid Seats and StubHub.

On Vivid, tickets go for as low as $94 and they go for as low as $85.50 on StubHub.

The Gators and Cavaliers are scheduled to play Monday, Dec. 30 at 8 p.m.
