The FIU Board of Trustees Athletics Committee will hold its semiannual meeting at 8 a.m. Friday, a public meeting when trustees likely will ask athletics administrators questions about two recent athletic department controversies: the sexual harassment allegations against women’s basketball coach Marlin Chinn by team captain Destini Feagin and the placement of football practice fields over the Nature Preserve.

The meeting will be at the Parkview Hall dorm’s multipurpose room on the Mitch Maidique Campus.

The agenda includes an athletics update by executive director of sports and entertainment Pete Garcia and a stadium and facilities report.

Also, the athletic department usually will have a stellar athlete considered of unimpeachable character speak to the committee about his/her experience at FIU.
