FIU defensive coordinator Josh Conklin, linebackers coach Rob Harley to leave for Pitt

FIU sources confirmed a report first made by Sports Illustrated that FIU defensive coordinator Josh Conklin will be taking the corresponding job at Pitt. Going with Conklin, FIU sources said, will be linebackers coach Rob Harley.

Conklin coached a defense that led the nation in fumble recoveries and was fourth in total turnovers gained. FIU didn't win a game without scoring a defensive touchdown. Harley's linebackers, many of them freshmen and sophomores, turned into the surprise of the season for the FIU defense.
