FIU Panthers receiver Dennis Turner returns from concussion
The FIU Panthers’ injury situation improved slightly as far as starters are concerned.
Sophomore wide receiver Dennis Turner (concussion) returned to practice Tuesday wearing an orange injury jersey, but otherwise fully-padded.
Among the backups injured during Saturday’s second half, freshman defensive end Fermin Silva was on crutches, but redshirt freshman offensive lineman Chris Miller and defensive lineman Anthony Johnson were in full pads.
UMass rematch
FIU and UMass will play again in 2016 as the Panthers replace UConn on UMass’ schedule. The second game in the series extension, reported a week ago in the Miami Herald, likely will be played in 2019. The teams already were scheduled to play in 2018.
