FIU Panthers’ Jonnu Smith recognized for performance vs. Pittsburgh
Sophomore tight end Jonnu Smith received honorable mention notice from the College Football Performance Awards after catching seven passes for 62 yards and a touchdown against Pittsburgh on Saturday.
The previous week, Smith was the CFPA’s Tight End Performer of the Week. Last year’s leading FIU receiver again leads the team with 18 catches for 209 yards and two touchdowns.
▪ Starting right guard Delmar Taylor and center Donald Senat, both of whom had to be helped from the field Saturday, should be able to start Saturday’s game against Louisville.
