FIU baseball clobbers visiting Jacksonville 9-0

Edwin Rios hit a three-run home run in the first inning Wednesday to help spark host FIU to a 9-0 victory against Jacksonville.

Brian Portelli crushed a three-run homer in the seventh and sophomore JC Escarra hit two solo homers to lead the Panthers (23-25) over the Dolphins (21-27). Freshman David Lee (2-1) was credited with the win, allowing no runs on three hits, while striking out four in six innings.
