FIU baseball team falls to South Florida 4-3
FIU scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to tie the score at 3-3, but South Florida regained the lead in the bottom of the inning on a sacrifice fly and held on for a 4-3 victory Wednesday night in Tampa.
Catcher Zach Soria led the Panthers, going 2 for 3 with a run scored. JC Escarra also went 2 for 5 with a run and an RBI for FIU (9-12). Danny Dopico took the loss, giving up an unearned run in the eighth.
South Florida improved to 15-6-1.
