Jackson State lets student manager play on Senior Night and ‘Snacks’ delivers

It’s still early in the month, but we had our first bit of March Madness on Monday night in Jackson, Mississippi.

The Jackson State men’s basketball team was well ahead of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, so head coach Wayne Brent let the team manager play in the game.

So Thomas “Snacks” Lee took the court for the first and likely only time in his career. The Jackson State athletic website said fans had been chanting, “We want Snacks!”

“Snacks” missed his first three shots, all from three-point range, when he was given one last chance. He swished a shot from way downtown to the delight of the crowd — and the announcers.

Jackson State won 76-56 and the video of the shot by “Snacks” has gone viral.
