UM baseball to host Fan Fest, alumni game Saturday at Mark Light Field

Mark Light shakes anyone? Autographs from your favorite Hurricanes future star — or former one?

The University of Miami baseball team, ranked ninth in the preseason by Baseball America, will host its annual Fan Fest and Alumni Game on Saturday at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field.

Festivities are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., and admission is free.

The team autograph session will go from 4 to 5 p.m., when each fan can get a 2015 team poster to be signed.

Fan Fest will also have inflatables for children, face painting and a Select-A-Seat event.

The concession stands will be open.

Alumni will take batting practice from 4:15 to 5 p.m., with introductions set for 5:30.

The alumni game starts at 6.

The Hurricanes, who finished 44-19 in 2014 and led the Atlantic Coast Conference in the regular season with a 24-6 record, open their season at 7 p.m. Friday against Rutgers.
