Three Miami Hurricanes players miss practice with injuries
Three injured Hurricanes missed practice Tuesday as UM began preparation for Virginia Tech: Nose tackle Kendrick Norton, who sprained his ankle and was wearing a boot on campus; outside linebacker Demetrius Jackson; and center Nick Linder, who according to coach Al Golden has a “neck/shoulder/trapezius” injury.
The coach said he thinks Linder will be ready to play Saturday.
“Demetrius Jackson has a little cut on his foot that we’re dealing with, kind of a day-to-day thing,” Golden said. “I think [Norton] will be OK. … He seemed good.
“I think they’ll be OK long-term.”
Receiver Stacy Coley, who was named ACC Receiver of the Week for his career-high seven receptions and 139 yards at FSU, was full go after injuring his left hip on the touchdown that briefly put UM ahead in the final quarter.
Coley said Tuesday that he was getting plenty of treatment for the injury.
▪ Weak-side linebacker Jermaine Grace, who led UM with nine tackles Saturday and had a previous ankle injury, practiced Tuesday.
