Miami Hurricanes QB Ryan Williams keeping an upbeat attitude

Even though it will likely take an injury to freshman quarterback Brad Kaaya for fifth-year senior Ryan Williams to have any chance at seeing the field significantly the rest of this season, on Monday coach Al Golden said Williams has maintained the right attitude.

“Ryan has put his own personal disappointment aside right now,” Golden said. “He’s doing a good job mentoring. He’s doing a good job leading. He’s got to continue to do that while he’s preparing himself, whether it’s his throwing motion or conditioning or whatever it is, for an opportunity that may avail itself. That’s the only way you can go about this business.”

▪ Miami’s Nov. 1 home game against North Carolina is set for 12:30 p.m., the ACC announced Monday. The game will be on the ACC Network.
