Keionte Scott poised to return, but another key Hurricanes contributor out vs. Texas A&M
Starting nickel cornerback Keionte Scott continues to trend toward making his Miami Hurricanes return when No. 10 UM plays the No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday at Kyle Field.
But Miami will be without one of its other key defensive backs for the playoff game.
Redshirt sophomore cornerback Damari Brown has officially been ruled out for the game against Texas A&M, according to the latest availability report released by the CFP on Friday night.
Brown has been part of Miami’s four-man rotation at outside cornerback all season with Xavier Lucas, Ethan O’Connor and OJ Frederique Jr., the latter of whom did not play the final five regular-season games with an apparent arm injury but is poised to return Saturday.
Scott, meanwhile, is listed as probable, the same status he has had on all three availability reports this week.
