The University of Miami announced that its annual CanesFest will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29.

The event is open to the public and will enable fans to view the Hurricanes’ athletic facilities, including the Schwartz Center, Greentree Field, Cobb Stadium, the Knight Gym and the UM Sports Hall of Fame.

Players and coaches from various sports, including football, will sign autographs.

In order to get autographs, however, each fan must have a voucher. The vouchers will be distributed from 3 to 3:45 p.m. that day in front of the Schwartz Center. The autograph session will run from 4 to 5 p.m., with the alumni session from 5 to 6.

Fans should park at Ponce Garage, where buses will transport them to the Hecht Center from 3 to 7 p.m.

The Hurricanes had their first day off on Wednesday since camp began last Thursday. They will resume practice at 7 p.m. Thursday with their first preseason scrimmage at Greentree Field. The scrimmage is closed to the public and media.
