Rivalry week means lots of things for the Miami Hurricanes, but one of the biggest is a major recruiting weekend.

Miami will have more than a dozen blue-chip recruits in the stands at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday when it hosts the rival Florida State Seminoles and it presents a chance for Mario Cristobal to keep building on some of the recruiting momentum he established in the last couple weeks.

Last week, Cormani McClain shocked the nation when he orally committed to the Hurricanes. Now the five-star Lakeland cornerback will make his way to Miami Gardens this weekend to watch his future team play its biggest game of the season. With at least 15 other commits expected to be at the game, this is the first real chance for McClain to get with a group of future teammates — and a good opportunity to add more to the Hurricanes’ Class of 2023.

Miami’s 2023 recruiting class currently ranks No. 8 in the country, according to the 247Sports composite rankings, and several of the Hurricanes’ top remaining targets are expected to be in South Florida this week.
