With Leonard Taylor and Branson Deen gone, Miami gets needed DT from transfer portal

With Miami Hurricanes defensive tackles Leonard Taylor III and Branson Deen heading to the NFL Draft, the Hurricanes got good news Friday night from a player that will help bolster the middle of the line.

Former NC State defensive tackle C.J. Clark announced on social media that he will play his final season for Miami.

Clark, 6-3 and 305 pounds, is rated the 13th best defensive lineman in the 247Sports transfer portal rankings.

Clark, who will enter his sixth year of college football, was a four-star 2019 recruit out of North Stanly High in New London, N.C. This past season he had 22 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack and three quarterback hurries.

His NC State career stats: 42 games, 23 starts, 73 tackles, 7 1/2 tackles four loss and four sacks.
