University of Miami

XFL coach and UM alum Winston Moss got his first win Sunday. His reaction was priceless.

Celebratory Gatorade baths have been a mainstay in sports culture for years.

While the fluid sometime alternates between actual Gatorade or water, the essence is always the same: expressing a team’s love and adoration for their coach after a championship victory or big win.

Most coaches either freeze up in shock or sprint away as the ice-cold fluid runs sends chills down their spine. Winston Moss, however, isn’t most coaches.

As the Los Angeles Wildcats’ neared their first win in franchise history Sunday against the D.C. Defenders, the XFL coach received the customary soaking. Take a look at how he reacted:

No flinching. No grimace. Just straight business. Why? Because as the popular football coach adage goes, you have to act like you have been there before (even when you technically haven’t). Plus his demeanor is reminiscent of Jay-Z and who hasn’t wanted to be Hov at some point?

Moss, a former star linebacker and defensive end at the University of Miami who went on to play 11 years in the NFL, just might be the coolest coach in the XFL. Like, who just does this mid-game:

At 1-2, the Wildcats isn’t the best team in the XFL but Moss’ nonchalance is unmatched. His energy just needs to start translating to wins.
