Podcast: Can the Miami Hurricanes salvage this spiraling season?

It has been a rough few weeks in Coral Gables. The Miami Hurricanes have dropped three consecutive games during the past four weeks. Their hopes of winning the Coastal Division and returning the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship Game have all but evaporated. Their chances of even reaching a bowl game are in serious jeopardy. Miami is reeling like it never has with Mark Richt at the helm.

With three games remaining, the Hurricanes (5-4, 2-3 ACC) still have a chance to make something of this season, even if it is already guaranteed to be a step back from reaching the Orange Bowl last season. Miami has development to worry about and the talent on the roster to get back on track in Richt’s third season as coach next year.

It starts with figuring out the future of the offense, which will be without quarterback Malik Rosier next fall. The Hurricanes have three weeks to figure out how Richt can turn their struggles around and get Miami pointed back in the right direction.

So what do the Hurricanes need to do for the rest of November to assure this season wasn’t a waste? Should freshman quarterback Jarren Williams get more playing time? What’s the deal with Kelly Bryant, a quarterback from Clemson who is looking to transfer? That’s the topic this week on the Eye on the U podcast with David Wilson and Miami beat reporter Susan Miller Degnan.

We’ll be bringing you one of these each week during the season, so be sure to stay tuned. And don’t hesitate to reach out with any feedback.
