Expect to see a lot more veterans on kickoff coverage this week at Nebraska, Hurricanes coach Al Golden said Tuesday.
Look for Deon Bush, Artie Burns, Dallas Crawford, Nantambu-Akil Fentress, Jamal Carter and Ladarius Gunter to be added to the lineup in that regard.
Added Golden: “We need more height and hang on our kicks.’’
Miami is ranked 115th of 125 teams in the FBS on kickoff return defense, with opponents averaging 24.9 yards per return.

Golden would not confirm that UM has about 76 players on scholarship. Penalized by the NCAA in October 2013, the Hurricanes must give up nine scholarships over three years.
“In terms of trying to take the scholarships from the NCAA sanction, we’re trying to take a good number this year for sure,’’ he said.
Golden said receiver Stacy Coley (shoulder) “looked good Tuesday’’ and “did everything. I expect him to play.’’ …Offensive guard Alex Gall (unspecified) was to be evaluated Tuesday and fullback/linebacker Walter Tucker “is not quite there yet.’’
