Killian’s Jaquan Johnson commits to Miami Hurricanes

Killian safety Jaquan Johnson orally committed to the University of Miami on Tuesday night, a day after watching the Hurricanes’ closed scrimmage on campus.

Johnson — rated a four-star recruit by ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports — had heavy interest from Florida, Florida State, South Carolina, LSU, Louisville and Alabama. He becomes the 23rd commitment in the Canes 2015 recruiting class.

“He’s going to in and try to be the man right away,” Killian coach Cory Johnson said of his star player, who is trying to become the first four-time Miami Herald All-Dade selection.
