Miami Hurricanes picked to beat Wisconsin Badgers in Capital One Orange Bowl

Did somebody put bird food under the University of Miami helmet?

In Las Vegas, the Wisconsin Badgers are favored to beat the Miami Hurricanes by 6 1/2 points in the Capital One Orange Bowl.

But at Zoo Miami, Buddy the Macaw thought otherwise on Tuesday.

Buddy, the Lee Corso of Miami’s popular zoo, had helmets of Wisconsin and Miami set up in the grass for him to make his selection. He strolled straight to the Canes’ white helmet with the iconic U, nibbled on the facemask and walked away.

The No. 10 Hurricanes (10-2) face the No. 6 Badgers (12-1) at 8 p.m. Dec. 30 at Hard Rock Stadium.

Maybe Buddy knows Hard Rock is a home gig for the Hurricanes. Maybe not. But we think this-blue-and gold parrot has quite a big brain.
