The University of Miami men’s current 1-4 cool streak ran into the Boston area’s historic cold snap Sunday as the Canes’ game against Boston College was postponed because of Winter Storm Neptune.
The game was rescheduled for 3 p.m. Monday.
The Hurricanes arrived early Saturday morning, before Neptune brought a blizzard to Boston during what has been the snowiest month in the city’s recorded history. The team took advantage of the snow day Sunday with some indoor baseball in the hotel ballroom before an afternoon shootaround.
“Our top priority is to ensure the safety of our players, students, fans and the game personnel,’’ BC athletic director Brad Bates said in a statement released early Sunday morning, explaining the decision to postpone Sunday’s game.
