FSU coach Jimbo Fisher was pleased with the way QB Sean Maguire and RB Jacques Patrick each performed in his first start of the season Saturday.
But whether No. 17 Florida State needs either, one or both for Saturday’s showdown with No. 3 Clemson remains a mystery and likely will throughout the week.
Starting QB Everett Golson was back on the practice field throwing Monday, but Maguire continued to work with the first-team offense. Asked who would start if Golson is fully cleared, Fisher evaded the question.
In other words, make Clemson coach Dabo Swinney prepare for two quarterbacks.
