More honors for FSU Seminoles tailback Dalvin Cook

Sophomore tailback Dalvin Cook (Miami Central) was named a midseason All-America by ESPN.com and CBS Sports. Cook has 955 rushing yards on 110 attempts through six games good for an average of 159.2 yards per game and 8.7 yards per carry.

Cook has set an ACC record for rushing yards through the first six games to start a season, eclipsing the previous record of 888 yards by Virginia’s Thomas Jones in 1999.

He currently ranks in the top 11 nationally in six offensive categories including three in the top five. Cook ranks second in rushing yards/game, second in rushing yards/carry, fifth in rushing yards, sixth in all-purpose yards (181.0), ninth in scoring (11.0) and 11th in rushing touchdowns (10). His 8.7 yards per carry is the best among running backs in the Power 5 Conferences.
