The Florida State Seminoles defense got a boost Tuesday with the return of two players from injury.

Defensive ends Chris Casher and Lorenzo Featherston are back from knee injuries and will solidify a defense that allowed 195 total yards — including 56 yards passing — Friday against Boston College.

“It provides a lot more depth, a lot more rotation,” coach Jimbo Fisher said. “Getting that depth and getting that rotation, having more guys is going to make us better. It will give us better practice habits because we can rest more guys and they won’t have to take as many reps.”

Freshman offensive lineman Cole Minshew also returned from an ankle injury.

The Seminoles’ 14-0 win Friday night at Boston College was the first shutout on the road since a 37-0 win at Notre Dame and just the second ACC shutout on the road in FSU history (37-0 at North Carolina, 2003).
