Who Is the Referee for Canada vs Qatar World Cup Game?

The second match week of the 2026 World Cup has started, and Canada's second game of the tournament will be against Qatar at BC Place, Vancouver.

Every team in Group B (Canada, Qatar, Switzerland, and Bosnia and Herzegovina) is on one point after they drew in their first match, but Canada will have the home advantage as the host nation.

The man in charge of officiating the game is Chilean referee Cristian Garay. The 37-year-old referee has been a FIFA referee since 2019 and will be officiating his first World Cup match.
