Report: Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift's Wedding Cost Could Exceed $3 Million

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are set to be married at Madison Square Garden in New York City next month.

The wedding, which is expected to take place over Fourth of July week, is expected to be quite the affair. More than 1,000 guests have been invited and dozens of prominent celebrities and athletes are expected to be in attendance.

Most have been surprised by the venue choice. Who has their wedding at a place like Madison Square Garden? Apparently, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. But it's going to come at a pretty high cost.

A typically expensive wedding in the hundreds of thousands of dollars - Kelce and Swift would certainly be in that range - will likely cost $3 million or more at Madison Square Garden.

Darren Olarsch, founder of On The Move Entertainment, a production company based in NoMa, spoke to Page Six.

"It's doable, but it is like planning a concert. What might be a $300,000 wedding somewhere else, inside the Garden would be $3 million," he added.

Olarsch added: "The production team would have to build out overhead structures"- using decorative elements like draping - "to bring down the scale," from the 150 -foot height ceiling, so it feels more "romantic, close and intimate."

Madison Square Garden will likely be completely built out

It's likely going to be a complete build out inside of Madison Square Garden for the big day.

"They would literally build the wedding venue on the floor. Your own mini stage, dance floor and surrounding tables that are all right there; a venue within a venue," he said.

He added: "You black out the seats, no one would ever see them. You light the areas you want people to see."

The wedding will be a private affair, though it'll be interesting to see if any photos or videos leak from the big day.
