Antonela Roccuzzo is an Argentine model, businesswoman, social media influencer and philanthropist. Born on February 26, 1988, in Rosario, Argentina, Roccuzzo grew up in the same city as Messi and has known the football superstar since childhood.

Today, Roccuzzo has become a celebrity in her own right, boasting nearly 40 million followers on Instagram and partnering with major global brands. She has also been involved in charitable initiatives, including work with UNICEF and Special Olympics campaigns.

She's the cousin of Messi's longtime friend Lucas Scaglia, which led to them first meeting when Messi was around 9 years old. According to various accounts, the future World Cup winner quickly developed a crush on Antonela, and the two remained connected despite Messi's move to Spain to join Barcelona's academy.

Messi and Roccuzzo's relationship is one of football's most famous love stories.

Although they first met as children in Rosario, their romance developed years later. In 2005, Messi returned to Argentina to support Roccuzzo after the tragic death of one of her closest friends.

The experience brought the two of them closer together, and they eventually began a long-distance relationship while Messi continued his career in Spain.

For several years, they kept their relationship largely private before Messi publicly confirmed they were together in 2009.

After years together, Messi and Roccuzzo tied the knot on June 30, 2017, in their hometown of Rosario, the city where their story first started.

Messi and Roccuzzo are proud parents to 3 sons.

Their first child, Thiago Messi Roccuzzo, was born on November 2, 2012. Thiago has already started following his father's footsteps and developing his football skills through youth academy football.

Their second son, Mateo Messi Roccuzzo, was born on September 11, 2015.

The couple welcomed their third son, Ciro Messi Roccuzzo, on March 10, 2018, completing their family of five.

The Messi family relocated to the United States in 2023 when the Argentine superstar joined Inter Miami.
