Erling Haaland's Girlfriend Caused Stir With Swimsuit Photo
There are plenty of eyes on Norway striker Erling Haaland at this year's World Cup.
Haaland, 25, has already won the Champions League and Premier League titles with Manchester City. That being said, fans around the world have been waiting to see him lead Norway to the World Cup.
Well, Norway qualified for the World Cup after a 28-year drought. Haaland admit that he felt as if some pressure was lifted off his shoulders once Norway earned a spot in this prestigious international tournament.
"It was a lot of pressure. It is a lot of pressure now still, but yeah, I could feel it ever since I started with the national team, the pressure [to get to a World Cup]. The more time I've been there, the more pressure, of course, on my shoulders. But again, even better that we managed to do it, and it's an amazing feeling," Haaland said, via ESPN. "To qualify for the World Cup is a really special thing. I'm looking forward to it. It's going to be amazing. Finally."
Although he's not very vocal about his life off the pitch, Haaland is dating Isabel Haugseng Johansen. They welcomed their first child into the world in December.
Johansen has become quite popular in the soccer community, gaining over 200,000 followers on Instagram.
Norway will face France, Iran and Senegal in Group I. While that isn't exactly an easy slate ahead, Haaland is entering each match with the right approach.
"I haven't thought too much about that because my main goal was to qualify," Haaland said in regards to Norway's expectations. "Honestly, now I'll take everything as a bonus."
We'll see if Norway thrives in the spotlight.
