Who Is Kylian Mbappe's Mother? Meet Fayza Lamari, a Sports Agent and Former Handball Player

Kylian Mbappe is one of the biggest stars at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, alongside players such as Lamine Yamal and Vinicius Junior.

The Real Madrid forward has enjoyed his best form in the last two World Cups as he helped France win the 2018 tournament in Russia, scoring four goals during the competition.

Mbappe followed that by winning the Golden Boot at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Although France finished as runners-up, he scored eight goals, including a hat trick in the final against Argentina.

While Mbappe's performances on the field have made him a global star, many fans are also familiar with the role his family has played in his career, particularly his mother, Fayza Lamari.

Lamari serves as Mbappe's primary agent and has been one of the most influential figures behind his soccer career.

All About Kylian Mbappe's Mother Fayza Lamari

Fayza Lamari has been involved in her son's career from the beginning, helping guide major decisions and contract negotiations. Over the years, she has played a key role in big moves involving Mbappe's career, including his transfer from AS Monaco to Paris Saint-Germain and later his move to Real Madrid.

Today, Lamari is a sports agent, businesswoman, and soccer club owner, and is widely regarded as an influential figure in the sports business industry.

The 51-year-old also founded and heads FLA (Fayza Lamari Agency), where she serves as the lead negotiator for her clients.

In addition to Mbappe, her agency also represented Manchester City midfielder Rayan Cherki before the two sides eventually parted ways.

Lamari is also the chairwoman of Interconnected Investment Holding, the family company that acquired a majority stake in French club SM Caen and became its controlling owner.

The 51-year-old was born in Bondy, a suburb of Paris. Before entering the sports business world, she played handball for AS Bondy and represented the French national handball team during the late 1990s.

Away from her professional career, Lamari was married to French-Cameroonian soccer coach and agent Wilfried Mbappe. The couple married in 1997 before separating in 2022. Despite the separation, they have remained on good terms and continue to work together in managing their sons' careers.

Fayza Lamari's Involvement in Mbappe's Career

In 2024, Lamari took a leading role in Mbappe's dispute with Paris Saint-Germain over unpaid wages and bonuses reportedly worth about $86 million.

The case later reached a French labor court, which ruled in December 2025 that PSG must pay more than $69 million USD (€60 million) to Mbappe.

However, her work as an agent has not been without controversy. When she launched the family's agency to represent Mbappe in 2022, several established agents criticized the decision.

In 2023, Alejandro Camaño, the agent of Achraf Hakimi, publicly called out Lamari for a lack of respect when he claimed Lamari inappropriately interfered in the market by using her son's fame to attempt to poach Hakimi as a client.

Who is Kylian Mbappe's Father

Kylian Mbappe's father is Wilfrid Mbappé, who is a prominent French football consultant, agent, and former youth coach who played a crucial role in shaping his son's career.

Wilfrid personally trained his son in AS Bondy, where he worked for 25 years as a youth leader, director, and coach. As of now, he works as a football advisor and agent to his sons and regularly appears as a pundit during major events.

Aside from Kylian, he is also the biological father of Ethan Mbappé, who plays for Ligue 1 club Lille.
