Report: Attack Was Planned At UFC Freedom 250 Event

Multiple individuals are reportedly in custody after an alleged attack was planned for the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House in Washington, D.C. over the weekend.

The UFC held a celebratory event on the White House lawn in Washington, D.C. on Sunday night. The event, which streamed on Paramount Plus, took place in honor of the United States' 250th birthday. It was President Trump's 80th birthday, as well.

While the night was deemed a success, FBI director Kash Patel has since revealed that an attack had been planned. Multiple individuals are now in federal custody on Tuesday morning, June 16.

Patel announced the news on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"On June 10, FBI and our law enforcement partners became aware of a potential threat to the UFC America 250 event in Washington, D.C. involving individuals outside of the National Capital Region," Patel wrote in a post on X on Tuesday.

"We are built to detect, respond to, and bring to justice those who threaten the lives of American citizens - particularly during large gatherings like the historic UFC 250 fight."

Multiple 'planned' attacks were stopped

The FBI director stated that multiple "planned" attacks were thwarted on Sunday evening, June 14.

The event, held at the White House on Sunday evening, was run by Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White, who is a close friend of President Trump.

The FBI has not issued further public comment on the alleged planned attacks on Sunday evening.

Thankfully, it doesn't sound like anything happened and no one was hurt.
